We took a break on Sunday, October 20th, to attend MassRobotics Third Annual Block Party. Over 1000 people of all ages visited the exhibits of a couple of dozen robotics companies, university robotics programs, and robotics organizations from around the Commonwealth. During our walk around the exhibits we met with Angela “Angie” Kalthoff from Tufts University Early Childhood Technology program and observed an active young audience interact with array of KIBO robots available onsite. This robot was developed at Tufts by Professor Marina Umaschi Bers in cooperation with KinderLab Robotics who manufacturers the KIBO kits. Turns out that Angie and Mike Marks of TSC Robotics, featured in image, are both members of the KIBO Ambassadors program at KinderLab (See blog posting dated January 21, 2019′.
